me wanting to transition to a new blog for many reasons (explanation link) but being. very overwhelmed by all the steps to do so……….
mostly figuring out what blogs i want to continue following ough. i follow 719 people and tons are inactive
i miss vhs tapes and cds i miss feeding my computers and tvs yummy treats. now theyre eating nothing. theyre being born without mouths
i love looking too deeply into joke characters. it’s like a court jester jingled onto the stage and started performing and i stood up in my seat and wailed audibly
I still think one of the most powerful things I’ve ever seen an internet celebrity do was Brian David Gilbert changing his appearance and nicely saying “You’re not my friend and you have no say over what I do with my body.”
It wasn’t mean spirited or a long video, just a clear statement and recognition that parasocial relationships isn’t friendship. I deeply respect that and seeing other internet celebrities use that frame/gif towards nosey fans is great
if you have violent intrusive thoughts I love you. if you have sexual intrusive thoughts I love you. if you have bigoted intrusive thoughts I love you. you are not your thoughts and you are worthy of love and care and help and affection. you are not a monster you’re a person going through it and that’s okay
